It takes Google 13 seconds to find over 21 million results for “earn money online” and about 15 seconds to find over 49 million results for “earn online”.

I’ve probably browsed through a few thousand of those sites looking for that part time (eventually full time) thingy that’s going to bring in the bucks for me so that I can give up my day job and be able to sit with my laptop by the pool at some or other resort and watch my empire grow. Believe me, I’m not alone. There are thousands of us out there. I think most people start to venture on this online income “financial solution” when their bank balance has taken a turn for the worst. I’ve spent hours reading through so many of these sites and I can tell you that most of them are really convincing. I suppose quite a number of them are for real but finding out which ones can be quite a challenge.

I’ve got a little black book were I keep track of all my log-in details for the different sites I’ve joined. I’ve had my fair share of “cannot remember password” episodes and that’s not gonna happen to me again. Anyway, after registering to many of these “wonderful opportunities” and going through the motions, you get… “not supported in your country” or “fill in your credit card details” or “invest now”. That’s when I go totally ballistic. Then we start over again.

Good thing I was sitting when I opened this, WOW, my first and hopefully not last adsense cheque... WOW!! This makes me wanna work even harder on my blogs. Actually, I'm gonna get my wife and son to start there own blogs as well.

What am I doing?

I am what you call an amateur blogger with big dreams. I started playing around with blogs about a year ago with the sole purpose of earning some extra bucks. I've read about how easy it can be to earn extra money with google AdSense and thought I'd give it a try. Man, was I wrong, you really have to work your butt off and still no guarantee that you'll get the desired outcome. I've got all kinds of blogs running at the moment eg. bikini blog, family event photo blog, illusions blog, job classifieds blog, jokes blog, celeb blog, gospel lyrics blog, etc.

My Story...
I am a full time employed father and husband that just cannot seem to make ends meet. I also do some part time draughting work for a local furniture manufacturer. Some time ago, I picked up a fax at work "work from home bla bla bla". I visited the website listed on the pamphlet and read about this amazing "work from home""get rich""proven systems". This got me very interested and I found myself searching the net for more online earning opportunities. Around every corner, you are promised the world and told how easy it is to make money, BUT FIRST YOU HAVE TO PAY SOMEBODY! SCAM UPON SCAM UPON SCAM.
There are so many people out there looking to earn some money and more people out there wanting to scam them. WOW!!
I came across a very interesting blog/forum called "A Cape Town Blog by Chris M". amazing stuff. This guy actually signs up to these "work from home (wfh)" systems and then reports back on the legitimacy of the site. He has quite a following and amazing feedback.
Because I am not very clued up with all this affiliate marketing stuff, I opted for google AdSense(comfort zone).
My first cheque of R1 000.00 is on it's way (so say google), very exciting mmm. It's by blimey time, one year later...
Anyway, where to from here?

I decided to document my online earning journey just for the hell of it. Someone out there might be helped by this, who knows?
